Description

There is a growing need within Process Industries for sterilisation of gases within the process and production environment. Effective containment of entrained microbiological contamination needs to be achieved whilst minimising capital expenditure and operating costs.

HIGH FLOW BIO-X combines well proven depth filter technology and a new pleated construction to provide retention down to 0.01 micron in gas. Typically 2-3 times better flow rates and higher dirt holding capacity make HIGH FLOW BIO-X the filter that can dramatically reduce cartridge usage and installation size within the fermentation, food and beverage industries.

The performance of HIGH FLOW BIO-X is achieved through using a PTFE impregnated microfibre media with a 94% voids volume which is much greater than membranes such as PTFE (75%) or PVDF (66%).

The PTFE impregnation affords greater medium strength and permanent hydrophobicity. This leads to excellent performance in applications such as the provision of sterile gas in filling machines where HIGH FLOW BIO-X has demonstrated enhanced performance over traditional filter design.

Constructed with heat stabilised polypropylene componentry to resist high temperatures and a stainless steel core for added mechanical strength, HIGH FLOW BIO-X has revolutionised sterile gas filter design and performance.
